Touching Language
Coded and 3D printed
February—May / 2016

Deaf people have to carefully observe the mimics of the face and the movement to understand our spoken language. Inspired by the Montessori method, we transmitted language into another sense, the touch, to possibly easen their learning process.
Every 3D printed layer of the object means collected data of a mouth movement in time. In this case, pronouncing the word “movement”.
